2016 Blogger Holiday Gift Guide

Although I won’t be doing much in the way of holiday decorating until after Thanksgiving, one thing I do like to do this time of year is plan out my giving and gifting. I am making my lists and checking them twice, and hoping to bring some cheer to the special folks in my life.

And no matter how early I start this planning process, I still manage to stress myself out each year. I really try to avoid the gift card route, because I love giving gifts that have some thought or usefulness to them. But at the same time, coming up with those things isn’t always easy. So the “gift guide” Googling madness begins. “Gift ideas for boys, gift ideas for friends, gift ideas for co-workers, parents, siblings and pets….” Why can’t it all be in one place? The organizer in me really likes things in one place. #nosurprise

So when my dear friends, Bridget and Casey from the DIY Playbook blog, approached me to not only let me know they were putting together the ultimate holiday gift guide, but to also invite me to add a few ideas myself, I was ridiculously excited. I really respect each of the individuals they asked to contribute to this beautiful spread of ideas, and thanks to their input I have been able to begin building a really great list of gifts to give (which means I am ahead of my usual game this year!).

We have been extremely spoiled with wonderful weather this fall, so I am having trouble wrapping my brain around the fact that Christmas is near. But I am grateful to be getting a jump start on list making and gift purchasing so I can really soak up family gatherings, volunteering, baking cookies, attending holiday programs, hot cider and cocoa dates with the kiddos and snuggling in by the fire.
